Tony, Head's up the Leaderboard!

Last Tuesday it was the first Single comp of the season! The dry windy conditions made for a challenge! The round of the day came from Tony Head, Tony played excellent golf and scored a superb 41 points to claim Division 3. The new PING clubs Tony purchased have really paid dividends and the investment has been really worth it! In second place with 38 points was the famous Mike 'white blocks' Keaney who racked up a respectable 38 points. In Division 1 it was the famous LegEnds Winter golf champion, Mike Taylor who took the first singles comp, yet again another solid performance from Mike. In second place and on the tails of the leader was another LegEnd, Darren Smith. Darren, who is in some really good form after his overseas practice this winter has benefitted once the fairway mats have been removed. In Division 2 it was the former Oldham Chron editor Dave Whaley, who scored a solid 38 points to take the win. In the runners up spot and still on a high since his team won the Carabao Cup was avid Newcastle fan Joe Ridley. Joe put together a solid 36 points and the wind did not bother Joe as his consistent and straight ball flight pierced through any wind that may have caused any issues.
